Apoptygma Berzerk's 2000 album Major Tom is a masterpiece of electronic music, blending elements of synthpop, industrial, and trance to create a unique and captivating sound. From the opening track, "Eclipse", with its pulsing beats and haunting vocals, to the epic finale, "The End", this album takes the listener on a journey through space and time.

One of the standout tracks is "Kathy's Song (Come Lie Next to Me)", a cover of the Simon and Garfunkel classic that transforms the original into a dark and atmospheric ballad. Another highlight is "Soultaker", with its driving rhythm and soaring melodies that build to a euphoric climax.

Throughout the album, Apoptygma Berzerk showcases their mastery of electronic music production, with intricate layers of synths, drums, and samples creating a rich and immersive sonic landscape. Both the vinyl and the CD are hand numbered and are the first 99 copies of both.
Both the vinyl and the CD were sold individually outside of this set, as the vinyl itself is limited to 500 copies, with the remaining copies being white, apart from numbers 100 to 120 which are marbled white/green vinyl, see separate listing for this, and the CD in digipak form was limited to 999 copies. The CD was also sold in a non-limited case version.
The 12" has EZR 027 on the spine, but EZR 028 the rear sleeve. The CD is EZR 027.
